MEDICAL DEGREE
Doctor of Medicine
Midwestern University
Board-certified Internal Medicine physician. Founder of Elios Wellness. A practice built on the idea that modern science and ancient wisdom belong in the same room.
Dr. Maalouf trained in Internal Medicine at Valley Hospital Medical Center. The patients who stayed with him longest were the ones with chronic conditions, the kind that don't fit in a seven-minute visit. That gap, between what good care really requires and what a busy clinic can offer, eventually pushed him to build something else.
Elios Wellness was built around a simple idea: take fewer patients and spend more time with each one. That structure makes room for the parts of medicine that move chronic disease the most, like nutrition, sleep, and the everyday choices people make about how they live. His work centers on sustainable weight loss and cardiometabolic health.
When he isn't with patients, Dr. Maalouf is usually doing handstands, cooking, or at the beach.

Evidence-based lifestyle and whole-food nutrition care
Seven minutes is not enough time to take care of a person well. The relationship between a doctor and a patient is the most useful tool in medicine, and almost no clinic protects it. Food and medication both belong in the conversation, and they tend to work better when a doctor has time to think about both.
Listening is part of the job. So is being honest about what we know and what we don't. Elios exists because this kind of practice is possible to build. It just has to be built on purpose.
